Terms of service
Last updated 22 August 2026
Atlas is a personal project offered free of charge. Using it means accepting what follows. It is written plainly on purpose.
Using Atlas
You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Do not use Atlas to store or distribute anything unlawful, and do not attempt to reach another user’s data or disrupt the service for anyone else.
Your content stays yours
The coursework, applications, notes and files you put into Atlas belong to you. Permission to store and process them is granted only so the app can show them back to you and run the features you ask for. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
What the assistant produces
The assistant, the flashcard generator and the note generator are powered by a language model, and language models get things wrong. Generated summaries can misread a document, and extracted dates can be wrong. Treat everything Atlas produces as a draft to check, not as fact — particularly deadlines. Check anything that matters against the original source.
Nothing Atlas produces is academic, legal, financial or career advice.
Connected accounts
Connecting Google Drive is optional and can be undone at any time from Settings. While connected, your use of Google’s services remains subject to Google’s own terms. Atlas only ever reads the files you pick yourself.
Availability
Atlas is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, that it will be free of faults, or that your data will not be lost. It may change or stop working at any time. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using it — including missed deadlines.
Ending it
You may stop using Atlas and have your account deleted at any time by writing to the address below. Access may be withdrawn if an account is used in a way that breaks these terms or harms other users.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top will reflect it, and continuing to use Atlas afterwards means accepting the revised version.
